Meet Our Mentors
Jeni May,
Biology & Biochem
Jeni May graduated from King's College London with her BSc (Hons) and PGCE in Biology and has taught for over two decades, experiencing both international and UK schools as Head of Biology.
With extensive expertise in university admissions, she has successfully guided students through UCAS applications for Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Natural Sciences, Human Science and other G5 Biological Science degrees.
Jeni May loves to work with non-Science applicants on their TSA preparations.
Michael,
Law & Humanities
Michael received his BA (Hons) in English from Cambridge University. With over 30 years of experience teaching up to A-Level, he has led English departments in a range of independent day and boarding schools across the UK.

With responsibility for the Oxbridge program for many years, he has supported students across multiple non-Science subjects, including Law and Philosophy, and is adept at guiding written work submissions.
Michael recently stepped down as Principal of an independent boarding school and is enjoying teaching students in the (online) classroom again.
Joe, Economics
Joe has been an Economics educator for over 30 years, with 22 years at Brighton College, teaching Economics and Mathematics at IGCSE and A-Level.
With BSc (Hons) from Warwick in Statistics and Economics and MSc in OR, he has been Head of Economics & Politics, Head of Studies and for many years the Lead Examiner for Edexcel Economics A-level.
Joe has supported hundreds of students into various Economics degrees at G5 Universities, including Land Economy at Cambridge and Economics & Management at Oxford.
Nari, Chemistry
Nari studied BSc Chemistry and PGCE at Birmingham University and has since spent 20 years in the classroom delivering IGCSE and A-Level Chemistry as Head of Chemistry and Deputy Head of Science Faculty.
Nari is highly experienced in working with sixth-formers who wish to continue their journey to degree level and has frequently supported with entrance exams, NSAA now called ESAT, for Natural Sciences at Cambridge and Chemistry at Oxford.
Robin,
Physics & Engineering
Robin studied his Masters in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Warwick University, so is familiar with the tutorial system.
He was Head of Physics at Cheltenham College and delivered Physics IGCSE and A-Level, in addition to preparing students for PAT and ESAT as part of their Oxbridge Engineering and Physics degree application process.
Outside of the classroom, Robin was the lead contributor to the Physics content for Cognito Education and contributed towards the 4th Edition of AQA GCSE Physics textbook.
Anthony, Medicine
Anthony studied BSc (Hons) in Biology and MSc in Phylogenetic Studies at Exeter University. He has since taught in post-16 education for over a decade, mostly A-Level at a highly academic sixth-form school in an impressive Biology department.
Having managed a successful MDV program for several years, he has assisted hundreds of students to obtain places on Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science degree courses, at a rate of >40 a year consistently, including 5 Oxbridge places.
Russell,
Earth Sciences
Russell holds a BSc (Hons) and PGCE in Geography and Education and was Head of Geography at University College School, where he also, as Head of Higher Education, was responsible for the Oxbridge/G5 pathway.
He has supported numerous successful students to study Geography at Cambridge and Earth Sciences (Geology) at Oxford.
Russell has written multiple A-Level textbooks and published articles for related wider reading in several leading educational publications, as well as leading many field-trips across the world.
Maiqi,
Mathematics
Maiqi is the Head of Maths and Further Maths at an award-winning, academically renowned, Ofsted Outstanding sixth-form school in London.
She holds a BSc in Maths Education and Educational Psychology, a Master’s in TEFL, and a PGDE in Secondary Education, making her a fully qualified and highly experienced educator.
With extensive experience in preparing sixth-form students for Oxbridge admissions, including MAT and TMUA entrance tests and interviews, Maiqi has helped many secure their place to study Maths at colleges within Oxford and Cambridge.
